dining, gaming, and baseball

My first post! I'm excited to share my thoughts on dining, gaming, and baseball with the outside world, friends and strangers included, but probably mostly friends. Other interests are stories about sailing, especially during the Napoleonic wars. I know that kind of limits me to the Hornblower series and the Patrick O'Brian series, so I've expanded into some American literature with "Before the Wind: a Memoir of an American Sea Captain" and "Moby Dick". Baseball is a new interest, stemming mostly from having just read "Moneyball", a wonderful and timely book. I used to be more into movies, but lately I've been bored to tears at the cinema. I love going out to eat, and I've been keeping an obsessive log in Excel that I'd like to somehow share here. My gaming activities are limited to poker, blackjack, and lately a lot of video poker, and I'm working at becoming a comp wizard. I have a great job, but I find it gets in the way of exploring all these outside interests. I think a 30-hour work week is ideal, and yet somehow I work around 50 hours a week. I'd like to learn how to golf, sail, snowboard, and count cards. I'd also like to read more and work out more. It would be nice to look good naked. In the meantime, I spend a fortune on my wardrobe, and am always looking for pieces that are a little out of the ordinary. Sometimes I wonder if I've crossed the line from outfit into get-up though. Peace, love, and happiness.
